Competitions



The Games are proud to host two Championships; the Southern Branch Pipe Band Championships for Grades Three, Four and Five, and the Southeast Scottish Amateur Athletics Association Championships. Our Highland Dancers may appear to be beautiful, graceful competitors, but underneath they have a competitive spirit to match the heaviest of the athletes!

The young folks will be doing their darnedest to run and toss stuff like the big guys, and it’s fun to watch their determined faces as they compete in the miniature athletic events.

Our First Annual Border Collie Invitational Trials features Champion dogs from the Southeast. They’ll have eight minutes apiece to herd sheep through an obstacle course into pens, being controlled solely by whistles from their handlers. Eight minutes. Lots of sheep. Come watch.
